Velta Faye Robertson

Graveside services for Ms. Velta Faye Robertson 65, of Longview, will be held 10:00 A.M, Wednesday June 9, 2010, at Chilton Cemetery with Stacy Hildebrand officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Ms. Robertson passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Longview. She was born April 6, 1945, in Gladewater, Texas to Alex Merrell and Velta Flo Wimberley Mackey. Ms. Robertson was a member of Pine Tree Church of Christ and an elementary school teacher at Big Sandy and a librarian at Gladewater before her retirement. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Samantha Robertson of Tyler; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Joann Mackey of Longview; grandchildren, Michelle and Brian Robertson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring and Sharing 1303 S.
