Vergie Ferguson

Graveside services for Mrs. Vergie Ferguson, 86 of Big Sandy will be held 4:00 P.M, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Little Mound Cemetery in Upshur County with Edward Crouch officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer . Mrs. Ferguson passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Gilmer. She was born on January 11, 1926 in Benton, Arkansas to John Robinson and Margaret Mae Williams Robinson. In August, 1945, she married Marvin Delbert Ferguson in California and he preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Scott Fenlaw of Big Sandy; daughter, Billy Jean Whitt of Summerfield, Ohio; sisters, Doris Criglow, Bertie Ferguson, Willie Mae Nichols and Annette Rucker; 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Curtis, Marvin, Sherry, Doug, Christine and Robyn. Mrs. Ferguson was also preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Ronald V. Ferguson and Johnny R. Ferguson. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 2:00 to 3:00 at Croley Funeral home.
