Vernon Douglas "Doug" Jones

Vernon Douglas “Doug” Jones was born February 9, 1958 in Humble, Texas, son of the late Vernon W. Jones and Betty Joyce Horton Jones. Mr. Jones passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Longview.

Doug was a retired welder after many years of service. He was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle in Longview. Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. Doug was very proud of his marriage of 44 years to Carla and would let anyone he met know it. Doug will not soon be forgotten by all those left to cherish his memory.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Carla Jones; son Dustin Ross Jones and wife Kristie Lynn; daughter Cassandra Denise Jones; sisters Linda Ross Turner, Jenny Lynn Jones and Nara Darlene Jones; grandchildren Leslie Taylor Jones, Shannon Denise Jones, Drake Hillman and Peyton Bar; numerous nieces, nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the Gladewater Memorial Park with burial following services.
