Viola Huggins

Mrs. Viola Huggins, age 94, of Gilmer passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Whispering Pines Care Center in Winnsboro. Viola was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on March 1, 1925. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Austin Huggins on August 15, 1942 in Upshur County.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ila (Dye) Gray; husband, Austin Huggins; sister, Mary Merrill; and brother, Charles Gray.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Larsson and husband Tommy Thomas of Winnsboro; three grandchildren, Dan Larsson, Carla Larsson, Kevin Larsson; twelve great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Viola will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer, Bro. Leo Trimble officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Upshur County.
