Virgie Nell Peek

Mrs. Peek was born on October 24, 1940, in Daingerfield, Texas, to Guy and Amie Walker Rhea. Mrs. Peek passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021, in Hawkins. She studied and obtained her Masters in Education. She taught math for Big Sandy ISD. Mrs. Peek also attended the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Gale Peek; sons, Jerry Peek, Christopher Peek and twin infant sons.

She is survived by her daughter, Shanda Hernandez and husband, Richard; sister, Jennie Cox; brother, Edwin Gadberry; grandchildren, Taylor Trew and husband, Hunter, Paige Hernandez and Drew Hernandez.

A visitation is set for 6:00 Pm to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Online tributes may be left at www.croleyfh.net.
