Walter Thomas Killian

Graveside service for Walter Thomas Killian of Hawkins, Texas will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Liberty Cemetery in Hawkins, Texas with Bro. J.R. Matthews officiating and under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 4, 2017, 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins, Texas. Mr. Killian passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2017 at his home in Hawkins.

Walter was born November 23, 1934, in Upshur County to the late Howard Thomas Killian and Jessie Mae Holman. Mr. Killian was a member of Hollybrook Baptist Church and was in the Army National Guard. He also worked for G.E. and Trane as a Die Caster.

Mr. Killian is survived by his children; Nelda Lorraine Turner and husband Howard Wilson, Jr., Larry Don Killian, Sr. and wife Carol Sue, Wendy Renee Horton and husband James Lenard, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Killian is preceded in death by his parents; wife; Nell Killian of 62 years, brother; Donald Killian, and sister; Maxine Shires.
