Wanda Francis Johnson

Wanda Kirkland Johnson was called home, July 25th, 2018. Her celebration of life will be held at First Baptists Church in Hawkins, Texas on Friday, July 27th at 4PM. The church is located on the NE corner of Forest St. and Green St. in Hawkins, TX. (http://www.fbchawkins.org/)
Wanda Johnson was born in Celina, Texas on September 19, 1927 to Joseph Richard Kirkland and Jewell Mills Kirkland. Wanda married the love of her life, Kenneth Johnson on November 1, 1947. She was an educated woman who spent over half her life teaching school. She continued to share her wisdom throughout her last days and was the matriarch of the Johnson family. She was an amazing wife, sister, mother, grandmother and GG (Great Grandmother).
She always had things she wanted to do while here, but she knew her real home was her eternal home, with her Lord and Savior. She lived her life by 3 simple principals: Believe, Have Faith and TRUST always in God. If she were here with us today, she would say her work here is done. She received a call, an offer she couldn’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning as she is now at her forever home.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Pamela Burnett and husband, Bernie Burnett, Daughter-in-law Cissy Johnson, 8 grandchildren: Jason, Jarrod, Danna, Jeremy, Mikey, Matthew, Shannon, Natalie and 17 great grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Kenneth Johnson, four sisters a daughter, Melody Kent Johnson and a son, Paul Mabron Johnson.
Pallbearers: Jason Danielson, Jarrod Danielson, Jeremy Danielson, Matthew Johnson and Mikey Danielson
Honorary Pallbearers: Bailey Danielson, Tyler Danielson, Garrett Danielson, Landon Johnson, John Esler, Bernie Burnett, Tyler Willard and Zachary Willard.
