Wanda Goolsby Mattes

Wanda Goolsby Mattes, age 86, passed away on September 10, 2022.

Wanda was born in Clint, TX to Odie Estes and Hazel Bernice Young Goolsby.

She is survived by her husband John Mattes; son Robert Nelson; daughter Julie Villones and husband, Bob; step-sons John William Mattes and Wayne Mattes and wife, Johanna; step-daughters, Judy Mattes, Josie Mattes, Leslie Dennie and husband, Terri, and Michelle Mattes and husband, Darrell; brother, Paul Goolsby and wife Jhan; sister, Linda Farber and husband, Clarence; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Estes Goolsby and mother Hazel Goolsby; son Michael Nelson; and daughter Sheri Ann Nelson.

Visitation will be held 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2022 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX.

Services for Wanda Mattes will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Croley Chapel with Robert Villones officiating, interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
