William "Billy Bob" and Juanita Pruitt

William R. “Billy Bob” and Juanita Faye Dempsey Pruitt spent 60 years together before passing from this life only two days apart. Juanita passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020, then Billy Bob on Thursday the 17th both at their home in Hawkins. Juanita was born on October 6, 1941 in Talco, TX to the late Albert Walton and Iola Rachel Williams Dempsey. She attended Hawkins ISD for some time but graduated from Pasadena High School and went on to attend San Jacinto Jr. College. Billy Bob was born on December 5, 1937 to LA and Vivian Ann Baughman Pruitt. Billy Bob attended Tyler Junior College before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy and later worked many years as an operator and workover supervisor at Exxon Mobile while Juanita faithfully took care of their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Pruitt are survived by their children; Garry Pruitt and wife, Theresa and Sheri Pruitt; grandchildren; Rachel Butterfras and husband, Joshua and Briana Stokes and husband, Robert; great grandchildren; Peyton and Presley Stokes, Evie Butterfras, Pacer Stokes, Josie Butterfras, and Porter Stokes. They are also survived by Juanita’s sister, Virginia Bluzard; and Billy Bob’s siblings, Ann Rodgers, Carolyn Blencoe and her husband, Roger, and Loretta Bridges and her husband, Johnny.
Both are preceded in death by their parents, and Juanita’s sister, Peggy Lois.
