William "Buster" Wood

Mr. William “Buster” Emory Wood, Sr. of Gilmer, passed away in Longview on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Buster was born in Mt. Enterprise, Alabama on February 6, 1945 to the late J.C. Lucille (Toddhunter) Wood. He was a supervisor at Pilgrims for many years and will be greatly missed by all the friends and family members he leave behind.

Those left behind to cherish Buster’s memory are his sons, Billy Wood and wife, Jancy, Shannon Wood and Shane Wood all of Gilmer; daughter, Donna Wood also of Gilmer; brother, Glenn Wood of Florida; grandchildren, Anna Wood, Bradley Wood, A.J. Morrison, and Audrionna Morrison, Weston , Ashley, Jeffrey, and Jayden Wood and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife who passed away in 1998, Donna Wood; and granddaughter, Shaena Wood.

Graveside service for Buster will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Gladewater Memorial Park with Bro. Eddie Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
