Willie Frances Curry

Funeral services for Willie Frances Curry, 86, of Gladewater will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Brother Laney Pearson. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Dunbar Cemetery in Emory, Texas. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Curry passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in Longview.

Mrs. Curry was born June 15, 1932 in Emory, Texas to Bennie Lee Turner and Ida Frances Hunsinger Turner. Frances was raised in Gladewater and was one of nine children. She held several jobs in her life including working as a seamstress for Honey Togs, Levi Strauss and Nardis. Frances also loved gardening and worked for O’Roarl Nursery as well. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Frances will be dearly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by her two sons Frank E. Whitlock and wife Joy and Clyde Lee Whitlock and wife Ronda; sister Gloria Turner; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Elmer Whitlock and William Edward Curry as well as seven siblings.
