Allan Ray King, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and dear friend, passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 78, in Farmersville, Texas. Born on March 16, 1947, in Longview, Texas, to the late Robie King and Ina Joyce (Singleton) King, Allan’s life was characterized by his commitment to family, friends, and the many passions that brought him joy.
Allan had a fulfilling career as a machinist, where his skills and work ethic were greatly admired. He proudly served in the Navy, a testament to his dedication and sense of duty. Beyond his professional life, Allan was known for his vibrant personality; he was very social, always surrounded by lots of friends, where he loved engaging others with stories and jokes.
A man of many interests, Allan found joy in various hobbies. He cherished his time spent on the lake, particularly fishing, and often hosted fish fry gatherings after successful days on the water for his family and friends. Allan had a passion for racing cars and classic vehicles, as well as a love for riding his motorcycle, enjoying every moment spent outdoors.
Allan is survived by his family, including his son Shaun King (and Natalie), daughter Shanese Weeks (and Shane Wiltz), and step-son Mark Evans. He was also a proud grandfather to Justin Weeks, Stormi Weeks, Autumn King, Emily King, Sheldon Hall, and Shay Hall. In addition to his immediate family, Allan leaves behind many extended family members who cherished him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robie and Joyce King and his sister Claudette Dalton, who will be there to greet him in spirit.
In following Allan's wishes, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Diana, Texas, on August 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a time for sharing memories of Allan at 3:00 pm. Allan will be laid to rest in the Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
