Services for Alvah Pyle, 99, of Big Sandy, will be held on Wednesday, August 7. 2013, at 6 P.M. at the United Church of God in Big Sandy. Burial will be on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 9 A.M. at Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on December 15, 1913, in Flippin, Arkansas, she entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 3, 2013. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Church of God. She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Ruthann Pyle, Dennis and Joye Pyle, and Ray and Sherron Pyle; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Norva Lee and Ronald Kelly; Natalie and Tony Hammer; Dana Kaye and James Kissee; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Martha Alice Ott; husband, Norvel Pyle; sons, Joseph Daniel Pyle and Jimmy Lynn Pyle; brother, Virgil Ott; sisters, Nela James, Addie James, and Lela Wood. No visitation is scheduled.
