Amanda Cuevas Walls passed away on January 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. She was born in Longview, Texas, to Henry Cuevas Jr. and Rebecca Morgan Cuevas, who instilled in her the values of family, love, and resilience that she carried throughout her life.
Amanda was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a guiding light to those blessed enough to know her. She married the love of her life, Phillip Walls, in June of 2005, after meeting in 2004. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, commitment, and countless cherished moments, including many vacations to numerous states that created a lifetime of memories. A die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan, Amanda fell in love with a Dallas Cowboys fan—even though she did not like the Cowboys at all—and their spirited football rivalry was a constant source of laughter and playful debates in their home.
She was a devoted mother to her son, Kameryn Alexander Cuevas, and a proud grandmother to Gianni Reñea Cuevas, whom she loved deeply and fiercely. Being a Grammie was one of Amanda’s greatest joys. She embraced that role with pure love and pride, finding happiness in every moment spent with her grandchild. Her face lit up when she spoke of Gianni, and the bond they shared was filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love that will forever be cherished.
Family was the center of Amanda’s world, and her love and support shaped generations.
Amanda attended Gilmer High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1997, where she played the alto saxophone. Music was one of her early passions. In later years, she found great joy spending countless nights watching her son coach and play football, always cheering him on with pride and unwavering support.
Amanda was known for her big heart, her loyalty, and her ability to make others feel safe, loved, and supported. She gave selflessly and loved unconditionally. Though she is no longer with us, the impact she made and the love she shared will live on forever in the hearts of her family and all who knew
