Anthony Earl Baggs was born on November 22, 1964, in Denton, Texas, and passed from this life into Heaven on February 4, 2026, at the age of 61.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Minnie Baggs, and Clifford and Susie Trowbridge, as well as his baby brother, Andrew.
Anthony is survived by his loving parents, Mickey Earl and Mary Ruth Baggs; his sister, Diane Baggs; his nieces and nephew, Amber Lucas, Jonathan Lucas, and Ashley Stegall; along with multiple great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Anthony attended school in Lake Dallas, Texas, completed high school in Big Sandy, Texas, and later attended Kilgore College and the University of Texas at Arlington before pursuing a career in the United States Army.
Anthony proudly served several years in the Army, which allowed him to travel widely. Through his travels, he developed a deep love for Alaska and eventually made it his home. He worked at Denali National Park, where he embraced the natural beauty around him and spent his free time pursuing his passion for photography.
Anthony’s life was marked by service, adventure, and a quiet appreciation for the world around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
The commemoration of Anthony’s life will be held with the reverence he deserves. Visitation is scheduled for February 11, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. His Funeral Service will follow on February 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the New Resurrection Full Gospel Church in Longview, Texas, culminating in a burial at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, Texas, on February 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
