April Cowan Hammer Gladewater -- Memorial services for April Cowan Hammer, 52, of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on May 27, 1960, in Auburn, California, she died on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, after a lingering illness. She was a property manager. She is survived by her husband, Kerry "Buck" Hammer of Gladewater; parents, James and Tena Cowan of Big Sandy; brother, Troy Cowan of Big Sandy; sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Bill Gable of Longview; brothers-in-law, Scott Hammer and Eddie Shuttlesworth; sisters-in-law, Toni Cox, Becky Simspon, Terrie Hammer, Barbara Husbands, and Robin Shuttlesworth; and several nieces and nephews. No visitation is scheduled.
