Avie Nell Starks

Avie Nell Starks, 85, of Gladewater, Texas passed away on February 19, 2023.  Nell was born in Epps, Louisiana to Elmer and Loid Kennedy. 

Nell was a member of the Gladewater Bible Church.  She was very involved in the community as well as a member of GALA, Gladewater Area Ladies Association.  In her spare time she liked woodcrafts and painting.  Nell was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  The memories she leaves behind will dwell in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Nell is survived by her children, Cecil Starks, Barry Starks and wife Vickie, Justin Starks and Patti Tennison; sister, Barbara Kennedy Burgard and husband Alan; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Nell is preceded in death by her husband Lewayne Starks; parents, Elmer and Loid Kennedy; brother, Willie Kennedy; and partner Carl Aaron. 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February, 23, 2023 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater, Texas.
