Barbara Jean Pritchett Hill, a beloved matriarch, passed from this world on February 2, 2026, in Longview, Texas, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Born on October 9, 1946, in Upshur County, Texas, Barbara, a radiant soul, carried the legacy of her family with grace and love throughout her life.
The daughter of Ralph and Kathleen Davis Pritchett, Barbara was raised in a nurturing household that instilled in her the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion. These principles guided her as she grew into a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, roles she embraced with unwavering dedication.
Barbara shared her life’s journey with her beloved husband, Danny Joe Hill. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter and warmth. Her legacy continues through her three children: James Harmon, Morris Harmon, and Connie Jean Harmon, who carry forward her spirit and the numerous lessons she imparted. As a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and a joyous great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, Barbara exemplified unconditional love, nurturing each generation with care and affection.
Amongst her family, Barbara is survived by her dear sister, Kathy McGuire, with whom she shared countless memories and supported one another throughout their lives.
In her passing, Barbara joins her beloved parents, Ralph and Kathleen, who welcomed her into the next realm with open arms, reflecting a life well-lived—a life of love, laughter, and resilience.
The community of Gladewater will have the opportunity to pay their last respects during a visitation held at Croley Funeral Home on February 3, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
