Gladewater " Services for Bennie Dee Owens, 84, of Gladewater, will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 10 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Major John Queener officiating. Burial will be at 2 P.M. at Dunbar Cemetery, Emory, Texas, with Captain Guy Watts officiating. Born on January 19, 1927, in Emory, Texas, she entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. She was a retired restaurant manager and of the Protestant faith. She is survived by 2 grandchildren, William A. Johnson, III, of Castro Valley, CA; James M. Johnson of Castro Valley, CA;; 1 great-granddaughter, Ashley M. Johnson of Pleasanton, CA; 1 brother, Archie T. Turner of Harleton; 2 sisters, Gloria Turner and Frances Curry, both of Gladewater; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her only son, William A. Johnson, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, February 28, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
