Ms. Betty Gipson was born on February 18, 1960, in Gilmer and remained in this community throughout her life. She enjoyed riding bikes as a young girl and being outdoors.

Betty had a daughter, Vanessa, and she always looked to her as a source of hope and joy. She looked forward to daily walks around town with her makeup fixed and an umbrella to block the sun.

A few of her favorite treats were a cheeseburger and Dr Pepper.

She has been blessed to have a special companion in her life, Michael Watson, for many years that has looked after her and shared many good times together.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Vanessa. She leaves behind Mike, the staff at Gilmer Nursing and Rehab, and countless community members of Gilmer who smile when they remember her sweet spirit and love of life.
