Obituary

Betty Louvina Emory was born on February 11, 1936, in Wenatchee, Washington and passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in Gilmer, Texas.

Betty took great pride in the life she shared with her beloved husband, Jack Emory. They were married on July 24, 1953, and celebrated 66 wonderful years together before Jack passed away in August 2019. Their marriage was a central and cherished part of her life.

Betty loved reading and found great joy in exploring different stories and ideas through books. She was also very active in her church, where she enjoyed participating in various activities and connecting with others.

Betty’s heart truly belonged to her family. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was sharing stories, laughter, or quiet times together. Her nurturing nature created an enduring sense of warmth and togetherness that her loved ones will carry forward.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Gail Cook and husband David; sons, Kevin Emory and wife Jes, Mark Emory and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Liz Fitlow and husband Jeff, Jason Cook, John Wilson, James Wilson and wife Camri, Ashleigh Emory, Drew Emory and wife Ruthy, and Adam Emory; along with 5 great grandchildren, Kayden Emory, Brady Fitlow, Ava Emory, Mila Emory and Zeke Emory.
