Betty Murrell

Memorial Services for Betty Ann Murrell, 72, of Ore City, Texas, will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Diana, Texas. Mrs. Murrell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at home.

Betty Ann Patrick Murrell was born February 22, 1951, in Gladewater, Texas, to Leon Boyd and Carrie Jackson Patrick. She worked for Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD as a transportation/maintenance secretary for 28 years. Betty married the love of her life, Donald Murrell on April 14, 1969, in Ore City. She enjoyed reading, her plants, tending the flower beds, painting and especially spending time with her family. Betty was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Donald Murrell; a son, Kenneth Murrell and wife, Kristi; a daughter, Sylvia Edmonds and husband, Clay; two grandchildren, Braden Murrell and Allison Sirmans; and three great grandchildren, Makylah Bennett, Kaydence Turner and Keenon Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Patrick.

Betty is at home with her Lord and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
