Betty Ann Wallace of Gilmer passed away on September 14, 2025, in Gilmer, Texas. She was born on January 16, 1937 to Elbert Clayton Richardson and Emma Dee Lawrence Richardson in Upshur County, Texas.

Betty enjoyed a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper for Swepco, where she was respected and appreciated for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Beyond her career, Betty was actively involved in her community. She was a proud member of the VFW auxiliary organization, demonstrating her commitment to supporting veterans and their families. Additionally, she participated in the American Cancer Society, reflecting her compassion and desire to contribute positively to the lives of others. Betty was a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Gilmer, Texas, she found joy and strength in her faith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Andrew Clayton Wallace; daughter, Ledonna Wallace; 2 sisters, Martha Joy Reel and Lynda Richardson Turner.

Friends and family will gather to honor her memory during visitation on September 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both taking place at First Methodist Church in Gilmer. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

The family requests memorial contributions can be made to First Methodist Church of Gilmer or a charity of your choice.
