Billie Jean Lavender Skinner DIANA �Services for Billie Jean Lavender Skinner, 84, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., December 5, 2013 at Simmons Hill Baptist Church, in Diana, with Brother Brie Knopp officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery. She passed away December 3, 2013, in Longview. Jean was born July 29, 1929 in Marshall, Texas to Alvin & Anna Ethel Lavender. She worked for Ben E. Keith company and was the secretary at Simmons Hill Baptist Church for 30 years where she also taught WMA . Jean is survived by her, daughter & son-in-law: Samantha M. and Johnny Boland of Diana, grandchild: Melissa Compton of Little Rock, AR., great-grandchildren: Hannah Jean Boland and Johnny Ray Boland, son: Daniel Ray Skinner, and sister: Ermazelle Malaoski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Burley Ray Skinner and sister Mildred Dorain Lavender. The family will receive visitors on December 5, 2013, 1 to 2 P.M. at Simmons Hill Baptist Church.
