Billy Charles Bailey

Bill Bailey of Nash, Texas left our world for his heavenly home on Friday, April 29, 2022. Bill was born in Linden, Texas on September 20, 1943 to Robert Bailey and Wanda Faye "Sue" Bailey Splawn.

Bill served our nation honorably for twenty years in the United States Navy. He traveled the world, spending fourteen years in Italy where he served as liaison/driver for Admirals on base. After he retired, he continued to serve another ten years in the United States Naval Reserve.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bill is survived by his two sisters - Bobbie Cook and husband James and Jackie Davis, all of Big Sandy, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Bill was a quiet, unassuming man and very private. Bobbie and Jackie, described him simply as "the best big brother."

Grave-side service for Bill Bailey is Wednesday, May 4, 2022, 10am at Hoover Cemetery. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity.
