Bobby Murrell

Services for Bobby Murrell, 79, of Big Sandy, will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Interment will follow at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy. Mr. Murrell passed away on Friday, January 13, in Big Sandy. Bobby was born January 29, 1931, in Big Sandy to Loyd M. and Jimmie Fay Revell Murrell. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served the Korean Conflict and a Baptist. He married was to Albatenia Colvin Murrell and worked for many years as a truck driver. Mr. Murrell is survived by his wife of 60 years: Albatenia Murrell; son and daughter-in-law: Joseph and Brenda Murrell; daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Everett McWilliams, Carolyn and Michael Cole, Debbie and Melvin Adkins; eight grandchildren: Rick Honeycutt, Bobby Davis, David Honeycutt, Amanda Clifton, Sarah Jo Jones, Christina Cole, Thomas Murrell, Kevin McWilliams; and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Big Sandy, or The Hospice of East Texas.
