Bobbye Byrns

Bobbye “MamaBobbye” Byrns, 91 of Gilmer, passed away on August 27, 2023.  Bobbye was born in Bearden, AR on September 9, 1931 and settled in east Texas in the 50’s.  Bobbye was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she was known for always preaching Jesus and her love for God. 

Bobbye is preceded in death by her father and mother, Harold and Dewey Shoemaker, and sons Ricky Byrns, Mickey Byrns, and Chris Byrns.

Bobbye is survived by her husband of 73 years Richard, grandson Doug Byrns and granddaughters Tobie Wilburn, Dana Byrns and 4 great grandchildren: Kaleb, Kolbe, Peyton, and Cameron.

In memory of Bobbye, a Memorial Service will be held on September 9, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, TX. The service will begin at 9:30 AM with Brother Ronnie Shipman officiating.
