Caddie Wiggins Niles

It is with heavy hearts, we announce passing of Caddie Niles, beloved soul who touched hearts of many with her cheerful and loving personality. Caddie departed from this world on March 10, 2024, leaving a legacy of kindness and warmth that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Born on September 25, 1938, in Waxahachie, Texas, Caddie spent her life spreading joy and love to everyone she met. She dedicated many years of service as the secretary to the director of nursing at UT Health Center until her retirement in January of 2001. Her commitment to her work was second only to her devotion to her family and friends.

Caddie found immense joy in simple pleasures like playing golf and tending to her beloved flower beds, where she nurtured all kinds of beautiful flowers. Caddie loved sharing her love for Jesus, she shared her faith with anyone who crossed her path. She was a devoted member of her ladies bible study class, where her presence illuminated the lives of those around her. Her ladies bible study class came to visit her and sang for Caddie and her daughter in law Cheryl. It was a lasting memory they will all forever share.

In the vast tapestry of Caddie's life, family played a central role. She is survived by her sons Steven Niles and his wife Becky of Abilene, TX, Mitch Niles and his wife Cheryl of Big Sandy, TX, grandchildren Justin Niles and his wife Nicole of Temple, TX, Bailee Perrine and her husband Michael of Dripping Springs, TX, Robbie Niles and his wife Avery of Kilgore, TX, great-grandchild Carter Leigh Perrine. Caddie's memory will also be cherished by her sister Linda Sellman of Hawkins, TX as well as many nephews, nieces, and numerous loving family members.

Caddie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stewart Niles, great-grandchild, Hayden Perrine, father, Woodrow Wiggins and mother, Frances Menges Wiggins.

As we come together to mourn the loss of Caddie Niles, let us remember her vibrant spirit and the love she shared so generously. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the aides, nurses and doctors with East Texas Hospice for the loving care they provided.

A memorial service will be held at Lindale Church of Christ on April 6, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM to honor the beautiful life lived by Caddie. Interment to follow at Holly Tree Cemetery. May we find solace in each other as we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind.
