Caleb E. Powell

Graveside services for Caleb Powell, 15, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Concord Cemetery, with Reverend Scott Darby officiating. Services are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Caleb passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020.
Caleb was born on May 7, 2005, in Longview, Texas, to Jessy and Audra Powell. He attended Union Hill High School where he was a member of the FFA, played basketball and enjoyed learning welding. He also liked to collect anime movies, pocket knives, and enjoyed playing dominoes and games with family and friends. Caleb attended Lafayette Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Trisha Mayfield and Laura Williamson.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Jessy and Audra Powell; brothers, T. J. and Keith; a sister-in-law, Alexis; grandfathers, Charles Powell and Dan Williamson; great uncle, BoBo Powell; great aunt, Sue Powell; uncle, Brian Powell; cousins, Josh and Nancy (Nanny) Powell; aunts, LaDawn Powell and Denise Basham; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and best friend, Logan Trevino and others.
A visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
