Funeral service for Mr. Carl L. Stewart, 91, of Gilmer, TX will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Randal Hodges officiating, interment will follow at Gilmer City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Mr. Stewart passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his home in Gilmer.
Carl was born March 22, 1928, in Gilmer, TX to Kay and Isabell (Pilgrim) Stewart. He was a lifetime residence of Upshur County and worked as a crew leader for the Texas Forestry Service for many year.
Carl is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stewart; son, Danny Stewart; daughter, Deborah Fuller and her husband, Johnny; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; and 4 sisters.
