Carol Ann LaPrade of Longview, Texas passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, at the age of 74.

Carole was born on February 12, 1952, in Longview, Texas to Howard and Gladys LaPrade. She graduated from Gladewater High School and continued her education at East Texas State University before answering the call to serve her country.

Carol began her military service in the United States Navy and later transferred to the United States Air Force, where she proudly served her country with dedication and honor.

Following her military service, Carol pursued a career in nursing, devoting herself to caring for others. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life through her active involvement with VFW Post 4002, where she was a lifetime member. Carol took great pride in serving as a member of the honor guard, honoring fellow veterans and paying tribute to those who had served our nation.

Carol’s passing leaves a lasting void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched, the veterans she honored, and the legacy of service she leaves behind.

May she rest in peace, knowing that her service and dedication will never be forgotten.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Gladys LaPrade.

A graveside service will take place at Gladewater Memorial Park on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
