A life well lived
Carol Denise Brown was an unforgettable woman who lived with elegance, intention, and unwavering faith. She ran into the arms of Jesus on May 4, 2025 with the love of her life, her beloved husband, James, by her side.
Her life was woven with love, gentleness, style, and a steadfast devotion to her Savior, Her faith was not just spoken, but lived—in kindness, generous giving, and her ever-present willingness to serve others before herself.
Carol had hands that created magnificent moments for many people. From decorating homes, arranging flowers, tying beautiful bows on gifts, hosting banquets, parties and weddings, she could make life not only beautiful but impressive. Her Christmas trees were nothing short of spectacular!
A decorator by passion and profession, she had an eye for beauty and a heart for people. She saw the world through the lens of color and creativity. Whether she was setting a table for a holiday gathering or arranging flowers, she believed details mattered—because people mattered. She had a gift for noticing what others missed and making the ordinary feel extraordinary.
She had the heart of a true servant—always ready with helping hands, a warm smile, and a listening ear. Her home was a haven for many: the door open, the coffee brewing, the table full. She loved hosting—not just parties, but people. Children adored her, and she poured herself generously into caring for them, whether they were her own or someone else’s.
Carol noticed the small things because those were the BIG things.
A lover of pretty things and meaningful moments. She believed beauty was a reflection of God’s creativity—and she did it well.
She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, James Brown to whom she married 3 weeks before her last breath. Even though their time was short to dance through life together, they had unforgettable moments. A marriage proposal while listening to beautiful sounds on a lake, dancing, singing, laughing, cooking, or joining friends and family for dinner. They had many dreams that time took away, but she will wait at the gate for her sweet James to meet her one day.
They shared a bond built on faith and unwavering support.
She was a proud and loving mother to her 3 children, Ashley, Kourtney and Cody, raising them with wisdom, an open heart, and hands that hugged, prayed, wiped tears and cheered them on. She was a magnificent and marvelous Mimi to 5 grandchildren, Cooper, Beau, Colt, Braxton and Shilox. She loved Cody’s wife, Lauren, who sung and prayed for her. She welcomed with open arms Allan and Madison, Andrew and Madi, Brandi and Adonis into her life along with Trenttin, Javon, Braelynn and Remington. Carol loved a big family and was looking forward to huge family get togethers.
Her love for her family and friends was fierce and faithful, woven into every meal, every prayer, and every moment she gave them.
Her life had significance, and her legacy is one of faith and family—. She loved deeply and made everything better just by being part of it.
She would want all of us to stop and smell the roses, kiss our husband, encourage our kids, hug our grandchildren longer than usual, tell our daughters how beautiful they are and our sons that they are handsome. She would insist we take time to share a cup of coffee with a friend and make a promise to never overlook those who need love the most.
She looks forward to the day she can take us on a tour of Heaven.
Well done His good and faithful servant.
Until we meet again…….
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the donations, love, food and prayers during this time.
