Gilmer -- Visitation for Charles Elisha Franklin, 38, of Ore City, will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 3 to 5 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Born on October 30, 1976, in Westland, Michigan, he died on Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was a welder in the oil field. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Franklin; children, Shayla Franklin and Lilly Franklin; brother, Tim Franklin and his wife, Jennifer; sister, Melissa Franklin; grandmother, Opha Lee Williams; uncle, Bill Williams; aunt, Dreama Williams; 4 nephews; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eugene Franklin.
