Funeral services for Mr. Charles Lee Swanner, 76, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Monday, July 14, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Charles Johnson and Bro. Charles Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mr. Swanner passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Longview, Texas. Mr. Swanner was born on October 1, 1937, in Wood County, Texas to Buster and Myrtle Sutton Swanner. He married Patsy Steelman in 1958 in Gilmer, Texas. He was a retired paint contractor, retired owner of Swanner"s Hamburgers and a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. Mr. Swanner is survived by his wife, Patsy Swanner of Gilmer; son, Brent Swanner and wife Tammy of Gilmer; daughter, Kristi Barnes and husband Tommy of Forney, sisters, Shirley Williams of Lone Star and Betty Stevens of Mt. Pleasant, six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 13, 2014, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
