Charles Augustus Narramore

Charles Augustus Narramore, a longtime resident of Diana, Texas, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Charles was born on March 7, 1928, in Georges Creek, Arkansas to Charles Roscoe Narramore and Essie Pierce Narramore.

Charles dedicated much of his working life to industrial work as a steel worker, a field in which he took great pride. A proud member of the Masonic Lodge Ashland #1138 and Little Cypress #1459, Charles exemplified the values of brotherhood and charity. His commitment to service extended beyond the Masonic community, his faith was an important part of his life, as he was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church.

In addition to his work and community involvement, Charles had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He loved writing and singing, often sharing his talents with those around him, hunting, genealogy, and mechanical work. His passion for life was evident in everything he did.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jimmy Narramore and wife Debbie, Russell Narramore, Bobby Dehart and wife Patsy; daughters, Reba Dugger, Anita N. Hurst and husband Sebastian, Barbara McCay, Sharon Pilcher and Lynette Peterson; 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wives, LaVern Narramore Kerr, Genelle Wallace and Genell Dehart; son, Larry Wallace; brothers, Frank Narramore and Jack Narramore; sister, Sybil Parker and grandson, Jason Wallace.

Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Diana, Texas, on July 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at Smyrna Methodist Church on July 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Interment following the service at Smyrna Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Smyrna Methodist Church, Ashland Masonic Lodge, Little Cypress Masonic Lodge or Heart to Heart Hospice.
