It is with great sadness that the family of Charles A. Tevebaugh announce his passing on January 5, 2026, at the age of 88.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather whose love knew no bounds. Charles was born in Longview, Texas to Gene and Violet Tevebaugh on December 4, 1937. He graduated from East Mountain High School in 1956. Charles married Linda Medlin, his wife of 55 years and raised his twin sons, Craig and Greg.
He was part of the Tevebaugh Meat Packing Co then went on and worked for Kelly Springfield Tire in Tyler, Texas for several years. Charles retired from the United States Postal Service after 26 years of faithful service. In addition to his professional roles, Charles also enjoyed running cattle, which was a passion he pursued for many years. Charles loved his family, but he also loved being outside riding his tractor and his well-manicured lawn.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bill, Vernon, and George; two sisters in laws, Ruby and Shirley; grandson, Taylor Tevebaugh.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda; sons, Greg and Craig; daughters in law, Christi and Twillia; granddaughters, Lauryn Lee, Danica Bacon and their spouses; grandson, James Irving; great granddaughter, Paisley Bacon; brother in law and sister in law, Jim and Kerrie Medlin and sister in law, Alta Tevebaugh, along with many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Charles’s kindness was contagious, and his sense of humor was rare, blessed were those lucky enough to have known him.
Services for Charles will take place at East Mountain Baptist Church on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM with visitation being 1 hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Rosewood Parks Cemetery in Longview, Texas.
