Christopher Joseph Davis, Jr.

Christopher Joseph Davis, age 98 of Big Sandy, Texas previously of Sauk Village, Illinois, passed away peacefully and entered heaven on Friday, August 29th, 2025, with family by his side. Christopher served with the U.S. Army (Private First Class) 68th A.A.F. Base Unit (101st Weather Group) in 1946 and was honorable discharged in May of 1947. He retired from Allis Chalmers Co. in 1984 with 33 years of service and was a devoted Chicago White Sox fan.

Chris was a beloved husband to wife, Lorraine Davis for 66 years (preceded in death). His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his four children, Patricia Hernandez, Kathleen (Frank) Fisher, Lorraine Davis, Carol (Jeff) Fletcher. Beloved by two stepsons Michael Woszczynski (preceded in death), James Woszczynski.

Beloved Grandfather of Abraham, Michelle, Christopher, Jeffrey Jr., Michael and Ciara. Beloved by his fourteen Great Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by siblings Robert, Leonard, Helen Mau, James, Ronald and was a beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX. will oversee arrangements, Christopher will be cremated. His family will gather at his home to celebrate his beautiful life on Saturday September 6th, 2025.
