Obituary

Clarence Eugene Hill was born on March 25, 1944, in Longview, Texas and passed away on September 16, 2026.

Clarence lived a life marked by faith, steady work, and love for his family. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Germany. After his military service, he worked for many years as a paint foreman before retiring.

He was a longtime member of Abundant Life Church for 56 years. His church was an important part of his life, and he faithfully served there as a bookkeeper. Clarence enjoyed going to church, and he was also known as a collector. More than anything, he treasured being with his family, which was the most important part of his life.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Marcia Levy Hill; daughter, Angela Hill Crawford; granddaughters, Lauren Hope Bates, Avery Grace Crawford and Ashtyn Faith Crawford; brother, James Hill; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hill and Ruby Medlin Hill; seven brothers and sisters.

A graveside service for Clarence Eugene Hill will be held on September 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rosedale Cemetery in Gladewater, Texas.
