Clifton Van Wills

Clifton Van Wills, 41, of Ore City, Texas passed away on June 8, 2023 in Gilmer, Texas.  Clifton was born on October 21, 1981 to James and Kathryn Wills in Longview, Texas.

Clifton loved spending time with his family and friends.  Always bringing a smile to anyone who got to enjoy his company.  Fishing was Clifton’s passion.  When not spending time with friends and family it was his most treasured pastime.  No matter what he was doing he’d “rather be fishing.”  Clifton touched the hearts of all who knew him and the memories he made will always be cherished by those he left behind.

Clifton is survived by his grandmother, Christine Hudspeth; brother, James Kaleb Wills and spouse Rachel Morrison of Nacogdoches, Texas; aunt, Deanna Sustaire and husband Harry of Ore City, Texas; aunt Tammy Lorenz and husband Mark of Sequin, TX; and Ryder Greer; as well as numerous cousins.

Clifton is preceded in death by his parents, James Wills and Kathryn Hudspeth Wills.

A visitation will be held June 15, 2023, Thursday at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana, TX from 6 to 8 in the evening. Updated servive Information.  A graveside service will take place Friday, June 16, 2023 in the Ore City Cemetery in Ore City, Texas at 2:30 in the afternoon.  Interment to follow at Ore City Cemetery.
