 D. B. Stanley passed away on June 3, 2024, in Tyler, He was born on November 2, 1923 in Diana, Tx to Mittie Estelle (Spencer) and Grover Burton Stanley.

D. B. Stanley served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during World War II, a time that shaped his character and instilled in him values of bravery and sacrifice. His courageous efforts were recognized with the prestigious Purple Heart, a testament to his dedication to protecting freedom and upholding peace.

A proud member of the Mims Church of Christ, D. B. Stanley found solace and strength in his faith, guiding him through both joyful and challenging times. His presence within the community was marked by compassion and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on all those he encountered.

He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Nina Stanley; son, James Michael Stanley and sister, Oralene Scott.

D. B. Stanley is survived by his loving daughter, Susan Elizabeth Pace and her husband Marvin; sons John Burton Stanley,  Joel David Stanley and his wife Pam, Jerry Patrick Stanley; along with 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. His dedication to family was unwavering, shaping the lives of generations to come with his wisdom and love.

There will be a private service under the direction of Croley Funeral Home.
