Dale Lynn Boman

Dale Lynn Boman, 77, of Mineola, Texas, passed away peacefully on his birthday, September 24, 2025.

Born in Houston, Texas, Dale was the son of Julius Gordon Boman and Bessie Crone. He was raised in Houston and, after graduating high school, began a distinguished career in law enforcement. On January 8, 1968, he joined the Houston Police Department as part of Academy Class #37. During his dedicated service, Dale worked in several divisions, including Central, Southeast, and the Traffic and Accident Division.A proud moment in his life was achieving his dream of becoming a motorcycle officer, serving with honor and commitment until his retirement on June 8, 2002. After retirement, Dale and his beloved wife, Kathy, settled in the peaceful community of Mineola, where they enjoyed their time together.

Dale is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Boman; daughters Kathleen Moreno, Kristie Wimberly, and Bethany Stewart; his brother, C.W. Boman; sister, Mary Nell Duncan; grandchildren Sarah Morgan, Paul Moreno IV, Aiden McGill, Kassidy Blair, and Tyson Hoff; and six great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Bessie Boman.Dale will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to service, his love for family, and the honor with which he lived his life.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, November 8, 2025, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Holly Lake Ranch.
