David Leon Edwards

Graveside services for David “Fadders” Edwards, of Gladewater, will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater. Mr. Edwards passed away on March 8, 2023, at his home.

David was born on February 20, 1940 in Gladewater to Harry Richard Edwards and Ella Lucinda Fisher. He was a retired US Air Force veteran and a retired postal worker. He was loved by everyone and will be missed by all that knew him.

David was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Earlene Edwards; three daughters, Debra Pierce and husband Scott, Denise Arnold and husband Rodney, and Deaun Slaydon and husband Micheal, all of Gladewater; 8 grandchildren, Magen Ducote, Keli Touchstone, Micah Simmons, Cody Edwards, Matt Pierce, Kole Touchstone, Austin Touchstone, and Kayla Edmonds; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild on the way.

A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, 1-2pm on March 14, 2023 at Rock Springs Cemetery.
