Dolores Jo Hanks

Dolores Jo Hanks, age 82, of Gladewater passed away on May 17, 2023, in Tyler. She was born on May 9, 1941, in Romayor, Texas to Archie MacDonald Warren and Bessie Lucille Bailey.

Dolores loved wildflowers, birds, and all wildlife including every dog she ever met. She most of all loved her family and friends and is affectionately known to all as the sweetest lady ever known. She was a gracious hostess who loved to gather friends and family in her home loving you unconditionally without judgement.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Herman Nuten Hanks; her father, Archie M. Warren; son in law, Micheal Goldstein; and a brother Donald Warren.

Dolores is survived by her mother; Bessie Lucille Warren of Hull, Tx., son; Lyle Hanks and wife Cathy of Gladewater, daughter; Leatha Goldstein of Gilmer, two grandchildren; Hana Goldstein and Joshua Goldstein of Gilmer, brother; David Warren of Hull, TX, brothers in law; Franklin Abston, Jerry Hanks, and James Earl Hanks and wife Sandra; sister in law, Anna Lou Warren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Hanks will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 2PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
