Donna Lee Jordan Ward

Donna Lee Jordan Ward, 83, of Gilmer, passed away on August 29, 2025 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on November 24, 1941, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Michael John Jordan and Lavon (Lindsay) Jordan.

Donna and her husband worked as new home painting contractors.  She also worked for many years at Joe's Hamburger's in Gilmer.  Donna enjoyed gardening, canning, coaching and playing volleyball, watching college softball and fishing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memories are her five sons, Dan Ward, Rob Ward, Roy Ward, all of Gilmer, Larry Ward of Burleson and Roger Ward of Longview; five grandchildren, Carey Ward Thompson and husband, Richie, of Kennedale, Lacy Ward Morris and husband, Michael, of Burleson, Tenae Ward Shelton and husband, David, of Longview, Whitney Ward de Freitas and husband, Anderson, of Forney, Ryder Ward on Gilmer; nine great-grandchildren, Zachary Thompson, Macie Thompson, Carder Thompson, Laney Morris, Olivia Shelton, Maverick Shelton, Caio Ward de Freitas, Lucas Ward de Freitas and Nikola Ward de Freitas; brother, Jackie Jordan and wife, Sherri, of Fate; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Lavon Jordan; Herman Ward and her daughter, Sandra Lee Ward.

Services for Donna will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Heritage Center at Kelsey Cemetery, where a visitation will take place one hour prior to the services.
