Donovan J. Cherrette

Memorial services for Donovan J. Cherrette, 72, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Cherrette passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. He was born December 14, 1940 in Cadillac, MI to Clarence Edward and Margret Eleanor McConville Cherrette. He had worked in sales, veteran of the United States Army and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawkins. Mr. Cherrette is survived by his sons, Scott Cherrette and James Cherrette; step-sons, Kelly J. Quinn and James R. Quinn; step-daughter, Lora Makowski; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cherrette; step-son, Chris Quinn; step-daughter, Debbie Quinn; and brother, Jerry Cherrette. There is no formal visitation scheduled.
