Dorothy L. Turner

Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Turner, 90, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M, Thursday April 11, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Park with Bro. Wayne McKay officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Turner passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. She was born on June 29, 1922, in Gilmer, Texas to Marion and Lillian Lansdale Petty. Mrs. Turner was a cashier for Upshur Rural until her retirement and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her sisters, Clovis Campbell and Mavinee Roberts both of Gilmer and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Turner on March 25, 1997, and sisters, Inez Richardson, Gladys Fielden, Lovis Roberts, Fayrene Byers and Joyce Knight. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
