GILMER " Memorial services for Dorothy Shayne "Skipper" MacDonald, 47, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. MacDonald passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 in a Longview hospital. Mrs. MacDonald was born March 26, 1963 in Merced, California to Royce Glenn and Marian Hulene Robinson Skipper. She was a housewife, a lifetime resident of Upshur County, and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband: John MacDonald of Gilmer; sons: Joshua Plunkett of Gilmer and Jessie Gibson of Longview; daughter: Shayne Gibson of Longview; father: Royce Skipper of Gilmer; mother: Marian Aldredge of Gilmer; brother: Dakota Skipper of Gilmer; sisters: Shannon Afzel of Longview, Beth Skipper of Gilmer, and Kaya Skipper of Gilmer; grandchildren: Erin Plunkett, Dalton Plunkett, Jason Salazar, and Blakey Sanders.
