Douglas Creel

Cremation arrangements for Mr. Douglas E. Creel, age 67 of Gilmer, are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Diana. Douglas passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at a Longview care center. He will be inurned at the family cemetery in Decatur, Alabama.
Memorial Service will be held at Grant Street Church of Christ, 240 Grant St. Decatur, Alabama 35601 on September 30, 2017 10 AM until 11AM.
Douglas was born in Decatur, AL., on October 8, 1949 to the late Elwyn Othell Creel and Louise Alvie Creel. He worked as a Live Production for Pilgrim’s Pride and most recently Lincoln Premium Poultry in Nebraska.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Nancy Glisson Creel of Gilmer; son, Justin Elwyn Creel and wife Amanda of Prescott, AZ.; daughters, Amber Creel Flint and husband Christopher of Birmingham, AL., Ashley Creel Ferris and husband Ryan of Birmingham, AL.; sister, Carol Rollins and husband Gary of Decatur, AL., Martha Collins of McMinnville, TN.; grandchildren, Allie Flint, Greyson Flint, Logan Ferris, Emmy Ferris, Graham Ferris, Avery Creel and Sawyer Creel.
