Duard "Buddy" Clower

Duard “Buddy” Clower, age 92, of Diana passed away on July 16, 2023, in Longview. He was born on September 28, 1930, in Diana, Texas to Joseph and Junie (Dickenson) Clower.

Buddy loved to play piano and read. He lost his sight at a young age, so he learned to read by braille and cassette tapes. He loved sports and ran his own store in Diana for many years. He graduated from the former ETBC with honors in several academic areas. Buddy also was very well versed on the bible and was a devoted Christian.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother; A.J. Clower.

He is survived by two nephews Danny Ray Clower and Ricky Lee Clower and wife Melanie both of Diana; niece, Trina Cooner and husband Chris of Diana; Great niece, Dana Sellers and husband Nicholas of Marshall and great nephew, Christopher Ethan Cooner of Diana; and sister-in-law, Dewtrine Clower of Longview.

Graveside services for Buddy will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 10AM at Smyrna Cemetery.
