Earnest "Buddy" Preston Lange, Sr.

Funeral services for Earnest “Buddy” Lange, Sr. of Gilmer, Texas will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Bro. Donny Chamberlain and Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Upshur County. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lange passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.

Buddy was born October 15, 1942, in Gilmer to Earnest Lange and Zada Hudson Lange. He served in the U. S. Army. Mr. Lange worked in pipeline construction for Trendsetter before his retirement.

Mr. Lange is survived by his wife, Virginia Lange of Texarkana; sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Pam Lange, Larry and Karen Lange both of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law Ellena and Dwayne Fennell of Gilmer; sister, Anita Lange of Gilmer; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Winn, Earnie Lange, P. J. Lange, Kristina Robertson, Mitch Lange, Scott Betterton, Shaylee Fennell and Allie Fennell; 9 great-grandchildren; he also is survived by four step-children.

Buddy was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra Brill, Edna Winters and Vera Haws.

Pallbearers for the service will be Buddy Lange, Larry Lange, Dwayne Fennell, Terry Rinehart, Earnie Lange, P.J. Lange, Mitch Lange, Scott Betterton, Noel Weatherby and Ricky Haws.
